Happy Easter!

Hannah and Owen were so excited about Easter, the Easter bunny, and Easter egg hunts.  Don't worry we also talked a lot about why we celebrate Easter too.  Unfortunately I don't have any pictures from our Easter celebration at Grandma and Papa's house because I forgot my camera and Owen had to be taken to the doctor right as we sat down to eat.  He ended up have a horrible ear infection and didn't return to Grandma and Papa's so we had to do a lot of egg hunting at Nana and Grandad's to make up for it!

The arrival of the Easter bunny:

The Easter bunny left quite a mess when he helped himself to a bowl of carrots from our fridge and some celery too!
After looking through Easter baskets and sampling some candy we got dressed and headed to church for the early service and then Nana and Grandad came to hang out for a bit after church.

Owen sets out to make a candy buffet!

Owen loves to offer food to Nana and Grandad every week after church.  So continuing in that tradition he graciously offers up his Easter candy to Grandad who couldn't wait to have a piece.
Hannah sets her eyes on a peep!  She LOVES them!

Time for a little lunch...Owen decks out his ham biscuit with Easter candy.
Creative!
And maybe Owen had a little too much candy!

Grandma had these cool hatching Easter eggs that Hannah and Owen had been anxiously waiting to put in water so they could watch them hatch and grow.
Good thing the Easter bunny brought them magnifying glasses so they could study this science experiment.

Later in the afternoon we headed to Nana and Grandad's for Easter dinner:

Nana opens some coasters made from Hannah and Owen's art work at preschool.

 Let the egg hunts begin!

Owen opens all of his eggs to see what is inside.
