Happy Halloween!

This year our costumes came straight from one of our favorite books The Very Hungry Caterpillar by Eric Carle.  Owen was the caterpillar and Hannah was the butterfly!  Grandma spent many hours creating and crafting their costumes from scratch without a pattern.  We loved them!!

Hannah and Owen really enjoyed trick or treating.  They practiced all day with Grandma and so knew just what to do when the time came for costumes and ringing doorbells.  They were a little shy at the first house, but then Owen was practically running from door to door and even helped himself to some candy when the bowl was offered to him.  I had to laugh because at one house Owen grabbed a paper filled bag of candy from the bowl while Hannah picked one little Tootsie Roll.  I joked about how their choice reflected their personality so much.  We enjoyed trick or treating in the neighborhood with our cousin Wesley and seeing all the students from Mommy's school.  Grandma and Grandpa tagged along too and we enlisted Nana to hand out the candy at our house so Mommy and Daddy could both go trick or treating.   Hannah and Owen began signing more and saying 1 more 1 more after each house.  When we did go home Hannah cried when she realized we were all done and kept saying 1 more time 1 more time!  We are still "playing" trick or treat with our pumpkins.

 Dressed and ready to go!

Owen knows this is going to be fun!

Hannah and Owen enjoy riding in the wagon and giving their little legs a break.
 Trick or Treat!
Hannah, Wesley, and Owen are mighty cute in the wagon together.
Don't leav out Champ in the background!
Owen easily tore into 10 pieces or more of candy with ease.  After opening them I would make him give them over to Daddy (who ate them of course!).  Hannah and Owen did try Smarties this Halloween.
They didn't eat much candy, but they did manage to devour a bag of melts and a can of Gerber Cheesey Poofs from Grandma and PaPa.
Enjoying our Halloween treats!
