Pigs, Cows, and Ducks, Oh My! State Fair of Virginia 2011

Hannah and Owen took their first trip to State Fair on Saturday, October 1st.  We were originally supposed to go on Friday, but since the fair was in town it decided to rain!  So our Saturday trip was impromtu and done with very little planning.  We went in the evening after Hannah and Owen took their 2nd nap and had eaten dinner.  Nana joined us for the trip to the fair.  I was really excited about taking Hannah and Owen to see the animals.  They love their books about animals so I just knew they would love the real ones except Hannah fussed and cried in every tent.  Nana suggested maybe she didn't like the smell-is she really that much of a princess?!  We did enjoy walking around and sampling fair food.  Mommy, Daddy, and Nana dined on kettlecorn, doughnuts, corn dogs and french fries.  I was hoping to get a funnel cake in there too, but Hannah and Owen had other ideas and we decided it was best to leave since it was way past their bedtime.  Maybe we'll try the animals again next year!
