Rock A Bye Baby

So I've already mentioned Hannah's obsession with her baby dolls and all babies actually.  She even points to kids that are older than her and says baby.  In addition to always having a baby in her arms or walking her babydoll stroller down the hall we have recently had to cut a picture of a baby off a cardboard box and put her yogurt in a bowl because of the picture of a child on the front (she would get so upset and want the yogurt container so she could hold the "baby" on it).  We have a set of 2 1/2 month old twins down the street and we talk to them whenever we see them.  They were recently out for a walk and Hannah spotted them from the front door where she proceeded to watch them go for their walk and then cried when they went home and were out of her sight.  She eats almost every meal with a baby in the highchair with her and often feeds the baby her food and offer it something to drink too.  When I ask if she is ready for a meal she often responds "baby" to which I reply "oh, is your baby hungry?".  I always loved my dolls when I was little and so this just warms my heart.  It is so fun to watch what she knows to do that is instinctual as I have done very little teaching of how to take care of babies.  Owen will even bring the babies to her now because he knows she likes them so much.  Here are some pictures to document her love of babies...

I guess she is used to seeing mommy take care of two babies because she almost always carries around two babies and she sleeps with two babies also.  When I get her up in the morning she picks up both babies and her lovey before clambering into my arms.  :o)

This is the babydoll that started her love of dolls.  My grandma brought it over from a family member who was getting rid of some of her grandchildren's toys.  It quite possibly could have been mine, but it is definitely old and for some reason Hannah fell in love with it.  She still sleeps with this one, but now has an appreciation for all of her dolls.
