Finally a Snowman (or 2)

This last round of snow while not as much as we had hoped and prepared for was wet and sticky (after Daddy scraped off the top layer of ice with the shovel).  After keeping Hannah and Owen inside for the entire day before we had to let them out to play.  We headed out early because we knew the snow would melt in no time as it was forecast to be much warmer and sunny too.  Hannah and Owen were so excited to make a snowman because the last couple of snows had been too soft and powdery.

 Daddy and Owen scrape the ice off the snow to get to the good snowman making snow underneath.

 The first snowball gets started...

 Daddy shapes it with a shovel.

 Now the middle!

Hannah and Owen help add some snow and smooth it out.

 Grandad stopped to hang out while we were playing in the snow.  He brought us Valentine's treats and when he left he had a surprise for us...he put our Starbucks coffee cups in the hands of each snowman which really made us laugh!
