Best Friends

Hannah and Owen definitely like having their own space and still play pretty independently of each other; however, they are very aware of what the other is doing.  Owen always thinks what Hannah is playing is much better than what he decided to play with.  We work on a daily basis to encourage sharing and discourage them taking things away from each other.  Even though they like their own space they can't stand it when one is up alone and the other still sleeping.  It is a battle to keep whoever is awake from running down the hall to wake the other up.  When they finally are allowed to do so or hear the other one stirring on the monitor they run full speed down the hall to greet their best bud with a smile and a wave.  On Sunday, May 20th we heard Owen say Hannah for this first time and it melted my heart.  He makes a strong H sound followed by na so it sounds more like H-nah!  Hannah also "says" Owen, but it's not as clear as Owen's version of H-nah!

 Owen decided to help Hannah out with a ride down hall on her car.
