Little Engineer
Owen loves to build, stack, and balance his toys in ways I would never imagine. He gets so tickled with himself when he conquers his quest and stands back to admire his handiwork. The bin of mega bloks is a current favorite and has been for sometime, but more and more Owen sits down on his own to create his own tower of blocks. He often stacks them on top of Hannah's bus and will sit for 10-20 minutes straight playing with his blocks and sometimes longer. If you tell him to make it taller he will add more blocks and it is exciting to watch his brain work as he figures out just the right way to stack the pieces the way he wants them to be. Several times recently he has amazed me by taking his tower apart in the middle to add in pieces rather than stacking them to the top. He does this when he either has a larger or smaller piece on top than the one he is holding in his hand. He will take the tower apart somewhere in the middle and add in the piece he is holding so as not to disturb the bigger or smaller piece at the top. I love to watch him work!
