Thank goodness for technology...a dancing elmo app on my phone helped the breathing treatments go by faster and with less crying as it served as a good distraction. By the end of the week we had apps for Hannah on the Kindle too.

Sick!
About a week into the month of May Hannah's appetite started to decline (she is usually always eager to eat her food at each meal) and by the end of the weekend she was screaming when we tried to put her in her highchair. She would only drink her milk and eat soft foods like applesauce and oatmeal. She was also cramming her fingers into her mouth and she sounded hoarse and had a rattly sounding cough. We've been suspecting 2 year molars, but my mommy instinct also wondered about strep. At the same time Owen started waking up at night and would only go back into his crib with infant advil and ear numbing drops so we made an appointment to take both of them to the doctor. We left with a diagnosis of strep throat for both, ear infection for Hannah, and Hannah was put on a nebulizer for wheezing and the rattle in her chest. We had 2 sick babies, but as usual were blessed with children who are good natured even when sick. Other than a dislike of the nebulizer and a slow return to their regular appetite things pretty much went on a usual. I did take off a couple of days at the beginning of the week to comfort them and help get Hannah used to the nebulizer before Grandma took back over.
