A World Tour...Hollywood Studios and Epcot

On Wednesday we decided to visit Hollywood Studios and Epcot in the same day since we had the park hopper passes.  We figured we should take advantage of having them and we'd see how the day went.  Nana and Granddad were interested in checking them out, but didn't really want to go by themselves and Hannah and Owen couldn't have too much idle time in our unit so we decided to go for it.  Again, they were troopers as there weren't so many rides for them at these two parks, but we did enjoy all the things we saw. The best thing about the day was getting to greet (hug and high five) so many Disney characters.  I was surprised at how much Hannah and Owen got into seeing the characters.  At these parks the lines were much shorter and so we saw every character possible.  The characters were amazing with Hannah and Owen as was the Disney staff who even took pictures with our own camera.  Never once did I feel like we were rushed so that someone else could have their turn.  We had a great day enjoying all the shows, sights, and characters.  We loved the beautiful setting of Epcot and the "rides" that we went on there.  The best thing about Epcot was ending our day with the Pineapple Frozen Dessert that was there for the Flower and Garden show.  It was mmmm...delicious!

Hollywood Studios:

Nana and Granddad start the day off with a picture.
We're waiting in line to see Pluto...surprise, he is replaced with Minnie Mouse!
Our day if off to a great start!
I love this picture!  This picture and the ones to follow are priceless!  Hannah ran to each character with such exuberance and love.

For the first character visit Owen kept his distance, but regretted not giving Minnie Mouse a high five and so he was eager to jump in line to see the next character.
 Everybody loves Minnie Mouse!

That was so much fun that Owen asks to get right in line again to meet Daisy Duck this time.

As the Disney photographer was snapping pictures he said, "these are the cutest pictures ever!"
As Hannah walked away she said, "I love her shoes!" which cracked up everyone standing around us.

Family shot...thanks Daisy!
Onto Honey I Shrunk the Kids:

This was fun, but a little overwhelming.  Hannah got scared at one point and that was the end of this play area because we had to leave for her to calm down.

The Disney Junior Show:
I had introduced Hannah and Owen to Mickey's Clubhouse the week before vacation.  We used it to distract them from breathing treatments and I wanted to give them a little exposure to the characters for our big trip.  Well seeing the characters in person has brought the show to life and it is their new favorite.  They already have the movies memorized and know what will happen next.  We hit the Disney Junior Show which kept their attention the whole time.  They watched as puppets talked, sang, and danced.  During the show different things were released from the ceiling so it was really fun.  Hannah and Owen enjoyed catching the bubbles, snowflakes, paper gold coins, and streamers for Minnie's Birthday Party!  They also enjoyed dancing and clapping to the songs.  It was the perfect show for them!

Lunchtime:
Mommy always packed Hannah and Owen's lunch and then the adults bought theirs at the park.

We had some visitors at lunch!

Granddad pushes a worn out grandson.
These are the best times of our lives!

After lunch Hannah and Owen fell asleep in their strollers so we decided to walk to Epcot using a path through the Disney resorts.  A Disney employee said it probably was the quickest way (it eliminated the need to use a bus or boat) and would only take about 10 minutes.  Well that 10 minute short walk was actually about 30 in the blazing sun!  Nana and Granddad were such troopers since the "short walk" was Mommy and Daddy's idea.  We did get see some cool Disney resorts and areas that we'd never seen before, but we were so happy when that giant silver ball emerged in our line of sight.

Our glimpse of the Epcot ball from the Disney Boardwalk...this kept us going for those last minutes of our adventurous walk.
The beauty that surrounds you at Epcot.
We stopped for lunch for Mommy, Daddy, Nana, and Granddad in Germany.

Hannah and Owen enjoyed watching the trains running on the tracks.

After the boat ride in Mexico we met up with Donald Duck:

Hannah gave Donald Duck the longest hug he's ever had.  We seriously had to pull her off of him.  Nana joked that she thought she fell asleep on Donald's soft shoulder.  Everyone was cracking up and Donald fell in love with Hannah!
We were hot and tired again and Hannah and Owen really wanted some soft serve ice cream.  At every place we tried (after looking on the map) no one was selling ice cream where they were supposed to be so Mommy had to pull out our reserves.  These Mickey lollipops kept us entertained for quite awhile!

The Finding Nemo ride and Aquarium:

Hannah and Owen loved this aquarium at the end of the Finding Nemo ride.  They marveled at all the fish, rays, sharks, and dolphins swimming around.  They liked watching the divers too.  In one tank there were manatees that you saw from the top of the tank and Hannah said, "I want to get in!"

We finally find ice cream (well kind of) at least we told Hannah and Owen it was ice cream, but it was way better!

It was good to the last drop wasn't it Owen?!

We decide to take the boat back to the parking lot at Hollywood Studios...much better than the short "10 minute" walk!  This was perfect since we were all exhausted after traversing 2 parks in 1 day!  We were glad we were able to do it and enjoyed being at both though.

Owen watches all the sights as we cruise by the Disney resorts that he missed because he was napping on our way to Epcot.
