Ambulances, Fire Trucks, and Police Cars Oh My!

As you know Owen and Hannah are both obsessed with fire trucks, police cars, and ambulances.  Hannah likes them, but Owen loves them.  So when we heard about the 1st Firefighter Games at Short Pump we knew we had to check it out.  Hannah and Owen walked around, looked at everything, sat in emergency vehicles, squirted little fire hoses, and took in everything for about 2 hours.  They would have stayed all day if we'd had time too.  Owen was in heaven being able to see the fire trucks he loves so much up close.  The firefighters and police officers were so accommodating and really wanted all the kids to have a great time.  They also played in an inflatable.  There was a big fire truck inflatable that they really wanted to go in, but they were too little...maybe next year.  It was a great event and we look forward to checking it out next year too.

 We enjoyed watching the fire fighter demonstrations.  Here they repelled from the top of an extended ladder on the ladder truck.  Owen thought it was really cool to see the ladder fully extended.
