Hannah and Owen were so excited about Valentine's day this year. This was the first year that they got to have a school Valentine's celebration. They were very eager to work on their Valentine's cards for their friends and their teachers. They could hardly wait for it to be the day of their Valentine's party. I was one of the parent helpers for the Valentine's party in Owen's classroom which was really fun! When they got home from preschool that day they sat down at the kitchen table and pulled all their cards and goodies out of their handmade paper Valentine's bag and were just in awe of all the little cards. They examined each one and knew who each one was from. It was so cute!! We also made Valentine's sugar cookies that afternoon.
Nana's friend, Mrs. Moore, sent Hannah and Owen mini roses. Owen's goal is to keep it alive in order to plant it in the flower bed this spring!
Hannah and Owen were just as excited for actual Valentine's Day to arrive even though they didn't remember much about how we celebrate Valentine's day. Hannah and Owen woke up to hearts all over the walls near their beds which they thought was really fun. The hearts listed all the things we love about them. When Hannah realized there were Valentine's treats from Mommy and Daddy on the kitchen table she said, "there's something very mysterious in the kitchen!" They were a little confused about where the treats came from so we had to tell them they were from Mommy and Daddy. Daddy spoiled Hannah and Owen by getting them little Mickey and Minnie's with giant lollipops! We enjoyed a special Valentine's breakfast of heart shaped cinnamon rolls. We enjoyed making a heart shaped pizza for dinner just like in the recent episode of Daniel Tiger and we had Valentine's cupcakes for dessert! Mommy and Hannah enjoyed admiring the beautiful roses that Daddy and Owen picked up for us on Valentine's morning. They made us feel so special! Thanks for being so thoughtful Daddy and Owen!

Hannah and Owen got gummies for their candy.

They were so excited to open up these giant lollipops! They were as big as their heads! We're still working on eating them.
