Chris and Kristen + 2: Christmas Morning-What did Santa bring?

We enjoyed sleeping in until 8am on Christmas morning-we know this will quickly be replaced by early risers who want to get up before the sun just brimming with excitement because Santa came, but until it happens we enjoyed the chance to linger in bed a bit longer on Christmas morning. After Christmas Eve, Hannah and Owen knew just what to do with the presents on the floor. In fact, Owen crawled right down the hall, into the living room, and proceeded to pick up one of his wrapped gifts. Hannah on the other hand saw the chance to get into the diaper bag that was left on the floor and the utility room since the door was left open and that was the direction in which she headed but once we pointed out the presents she was quick to join Owen in exploring them with the curiousity of a 1 year old. Again, Hannah and Owen loved opening their presents and they have thoroughly enjoyed all the new toys that Santa brought them. They each received a Playskool Poppin Pals toys where the animals pop up out of the closed doors when you push or slide the buttons, a Leap Frog Potsy with vegetables, and a bin of Mega Blocks to share. Santa also brought Owen a fire truck because his favorite book right now is Sesame Street Firehouse and Hannah got a Baby Stella doll which she hugged as soon as I got it out of the package. In their stockings they each got a book, musical instruments, a car (Hannah got a taxi and Owen got a bus), and a toy remote control which Owen likes to use as a phone. They also got clothes and shoes from Mommy and Daddy. Opening presents was so fun-we can't wait for the years to come!

After going to church Nana, Granddad, and Uncle Jake came over for my mom's Christmas birthday brunch that I do for her every year. Great Grandma Hanna and EE came to celebrate too. We had fun playing with Hannah and Owen's new toys from Santa and sharing in the celebration of my mom's birthday as well as the birth of Jesus.
