For Father's Day this year I had a special project up my sleeve (courtesy of Pintrest). I enlisted Grandma's help and we took Hannah and Owen to Gather & Glaze, a local pottery painting studio/store, to create a coffee mug for Daddy. I thought this would be a fun a gift since we make coffee each day and Owen often helps with making the coffee. Plus I thought Hannah and Owen would enjoy seeing Chris pull out the mug that they made for him. I went in armed with our plan and extra toys to keep Hannah and Owen occupied while I finished up the painting. They were very helpful in picking out the colors to represent themselves and followed directions well as we painting and smushed their thumbprints onto the mug 3 times. They also liked helping to wash the dust off the mug with water and a sponge. The finished product turned out really cute and they couldn't wait for me to pick it up. They beam with pride when Chris uses it each weekend. Sorry I didn't take any pictures while we were there I only have the finished product.

Hannah picked purple for herself and love the bow added to her hair. They picked blue for daddy.
Owen picked green for himself and helped pick out blue for daddy.
We also made a card for Daddy:
We hung out with Grandad and Nana after church and gave Grandad his card and a calendar filled with pictures from our trip to Florida. Hannah and Owen loved looking back at the pictures of themselves!
Later we prepared to have Grandma and Papa over for dinner. Hannah and Owen helped shuck the corn which is their new favorite job.
We rounded out the evening by playing with Grandma and Papa which is always fun. Papa loved his card and calendar filled with Florida pictures too!
Papa plays finger puppets with Owen.
Owen goes for a wild boat ride-thanks, Papa!
Hannah has to have a boat ride of her own, thanks for stepping in Grandma!
