Hannah runs to pick the first strawberries then...
tumbles down as her feet get all tangled in the strawberry plants.
Owen also blazes a trail to pick the first strawberries for his basket.
Nana and Hannah search for the perfect strawberries.
With such great helpers our baskets fill up!
Owen picks Mommy some flowers.
He also adorns the strawberry plants with hay...I thought we were picking strawberries Owen.
Hannah couldn't wait to take a bite. Every few minutes we'd have to say, "Hannah we have to wash them first!".
My sweet as a strawberry girl!
Hannah is proud of the strawberries she picked.
We pay for our strawberries and the lady lets Hannah and Owen ring them up on the cash register.
It didn't take us long to eat all those strawberries. One of our favorite things to make was strawberry shortcake! When I took out the angel food cake after dinner one night Hannah said, "Yay, cake! Is it my birthday?". When I said no the next question became, "Is it Owen's birthday?". This really made us laugh since they share a birthday. Then they asked, "is it Mommy's/Daddy's birthday." We talked about the difference between our strawberry shortcake and birthday cake, but it was funny to see the association they had between cake and birthdays.
Owen likes his strawberry shortcake without whip cream because he doesn't like it, Hannah likes her with whip cream and Mommy gets the biggest bowl with the most whip cream!
Mmmm! Delicious!
