Hurricane Irene

Hurricane Irene hit the East Coast on Saturday, August 27th.  We spent all day playing inside with Hannah and Owen.  We had a fun time passing the day with them while watching the trees sway back and forth outside and the rain pour in buckets from the sky.  We listened to music and played with all of our toys.  By the end of the day the inside of our house looked like a hurricane hit it too…oh yeah, Hurricane Owen.  Owen and Hannah were not fazed by all the flickering of lights and sounds of wind.  They took good naps and went to bed right on schedule and slept all night long.  We were prepared for a major power outage and had a portable generator ready to go, but we lucked out and never lost power even though most of the region did.
