Christmas Eve

We spent most of the day at our house on Christmas Eve.  In the morning we played and did some Christmas crafts.  We headed to church in the afternoon for the 4pm Christmas Eve service and then we went to New Kent to Nana and Grandad's house for our Christmas Eve celebration.  We had a yummy dinner with Nana, Grandad, and Uncle Jake and then we opened presents.  We tried watching Charlie Brown's Christmas and the original How the Grinch Stole Christmas, but this year they don't compare to Caillou and didn't keep our attention for very long.

For our Christmas crafts we made Christmas trees with our feet.  This is Hannah's.
Owen's Christmas Tree made with his feet.
Hannah and Owen made green hand prints and then mommy cut them out and made them into a wreath.  This is Owen's hand print wreath.
This is Hannah's hand print wreath.  When she saw it hanging up she said, "What mommy do?"
Dressed and ready for church...I had my sights set on a precious picture of Hannah and Owen in front of our tree, but taking pictures is not our area of strength right now so I only captured Hannah and she was more set on gazing at the tree than taking a picture.
 At Nana and Grandad's House:

"That was fun!" is what Hannah would say about playtime with Nana.
The first gifts were opened and they were...
 the cutest slippers ever!
Of course we had to try them on right away.  Hannah's are kitty cats and Owen's are puppy dogs and we wear them everyday.
Hannah got a Little People dollhouse and Owen got the Little People barn to go with all his tractors.

Wow, this doll house has flushing potty which is our favorite part.  Even the barn animals have taken a turn using the potty.
Uncle Jake gave us a big Mr. Potato Head to share which gets played with everyday, multiple times a day.  Of course Owen likes to make the potato head have 2 eyes.
 Owen's first Potato Head creation!
Maybe the Mr. Potato Head hat looks good on me!
 My sweet girl!
There were presents for the rest of us too!  Uncle Jake opens something exciting.
Mommy opens her new floor lamp from Pottery Barn with Owen's help of course.
Owen likes to help clean up.  He managed to pick up almost all of the wrapping paper trash to put into the trash bag.
Hannah had this Santa hat on with her Christmas pajamas, but gave Grandad a turn at wearing it.  Grandad you're so silly.

Owen's elf hat suits his personality quite well.  We're dressed in our Christmas jammies with hopes of falling asleep in the car on the way home.
We get cuddles before bed and watch some of How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
