Making Cookies (the easy way!)

The cookies didn't get made in time for Christmas this year...something to do with life with two 2 year olds.  A few days after Christmas we decided to bake some cookies so Hannah and Owen would know how to "bake" cookies in their play kitchen.  We'll call them winter cookies since when Daddy went to the store all the Christmas sprinkles were sold out and he brought back pink and blue.  Mommy decided blue would be best and we'll save pink for Valentine's Day.  The other thing life with two 2 year olds makes you do is buy break and bake cookies.  I would have loved for Hannah and Owen to take part in the whole cookie baking process of measuring, mixing, and scooping, but their attention span and ability to sit still is short lived so break and bake it was.  They did learn a lot though about preheating the oven, putting the sprinkles on, and having to wait for them to bake.  They couldn't wait for the timer to beep that the cookoos as Owen calls them were all done.

The best part was eating the warm gooey cookies as they came out of the oven!
