Daddy Passes on a Tradition

We were fortunate that Daddy was off and home with us for the week of Christmas.  We had lots of time to hang out and play with our new toys.  The days leading up to Christmas were so busy that we vowed not to take Hannah and Owen away from their toys for the days after and play they did.  Honestly it is their favorite thing to do!  They wake up saying they want to play and are still playing strong as we tell them it's time for bed.  On this day Owen had just watched a new DVD about snow plows and he instantly looked at his matchbox snow plow and said, "I need some snow!".  Owen is very realistic about all his play so it was logical that he needed snow for his snowplow.  Daddy to the rescue!  I could see the wheels spinning and knew just what Daddy was going to do...set Owen up at the kitchen table with a pile of flour.  When Chris was little his favorite thing to do was play at his grandma's kitchen table with a pile of flour and his matchbox cars.  He could play hours and always remembers that his grandma didn't care about the mess.  It only took about 5 minutes for Chris to set Owen and Hannah both up with cookie sheets full of flour to play in.  Of course they loved it and Chris did too as he ventured back to his fond childhood memories.

Of course after your cars get dirty in the snow you have to clean them up in a car wash (this one was mommy's idea)!

What a fun time! Thanks Daddy!
