It has become a tradition to go to Lewis Ginter for their free member night to explore and admire all the pretty lights and the festive atmosphere. Owen has come to adore the train exhibit and this year we even made smores. It was an activity that had become somewhat of a tradition for us to do at least once each season with the Parr family and so while it saddened us all that Nay wasn't there taking a million pictures of Avery and the kids we were delighted that Lala, Avery, and Rachel were able to join us in order to keep this tradition alive even though it has morphed into something a little different than we'd all wish. The kids had a great time walking around and being together and they wore themselves slam out! Hannah and Owen were asleep in the car in minutes (it didn't help that they also had their 4 year old check up that day and received 4 shots...that was too traumatic to even dedicate a post to it-hopefully it will be a distant memory soon!)

Dusk is a beautiful time to be at Lewis Ginter as the lights begin to twinkle and shine!
The train room captures everyone's attention. Owen missed the fire station and fire trucks from last year's train display.
After seeing the trains we went to the craft room and made paper fans with Christmas paper and sparkly pipe cleaners!
The girls were all about taking a picture!
A room in the solarium was filled with purple and pink hydrangeas...in my mind this display was sent as a reminder of Nay.
An angel surrounded by pink and purple flowers.
The tree of bicycles made a cool display!
Smores...MMMM!
The Christmas light maze is still one of our favorite activities!
