Decorating for Christmas

Hannah and Owen were really big helpers this year when it was time to put up our tree and pull out our Christmas decorations.  Last year they helped too but it was a little chaotic.  This year they were more cautious and really tried to pick good places for all of our ornaments.  They were good at placing ornaments all around the tree and they made quick work of getting all the decorations up.   They were so excited about the start of Christmas.  This year they were also very curious and willing to listen to all the stories that are attached to our "special" Hallmark ornaments.  These are the ornaments that we pick each year that stand for a special memory or event from the year.  We really enjoyed getting ready for Christmas as a family.

This fire station ornament is one of Owen's favorites!

Hannah enjoyed finding all the ornaments that were pink or represented her in someway.  Her favorite ornament is a baby wrapped in pink blankets that hangs from the tree branches.  It was one give to us the year Hannah and Owen were born.

Owen tested out all of our ornaments with wheels before he hung them on the tree!

Later these tree decorators contracted out their services to Grandma and Papa.  Both Hannah and Owen kept asking which ornaments were breakable.  They were hesitant to try to hang those on the tree.  Grandma got her tree decorated in no time with the steady help of these two!
