The Arrival of An Elf

A special elf came to live with our family this year for the first time!  He arrived with a special breakfast and a trail of white pom poms that led Hannah and Owen from their bedroom to the kitchen table.  There he sat in a glass jar filled with white pom poms.  He left snowman doughnuts, Santa hat strawberries, yogurt with sprinkles, and hot chocolate for breakfast.  The table was set with red mugs for our hot coca and Santa plates and place mats.  He also brought some special treats like stickers, Santa skittles, and Christmas tree glasses.  Hannah and Owen were so excited to discover their elf!  We immediately read the story and named him Holly, but Owen later decided Sugar was a better name for our special elf and so he had a name change.  The name Sugar stuck and he became a fun part of our Christmas activities for the month of December.
