A Pajama Party

I was so excited about the theme for Hannah and Owen's 4th birthday.  We decided on a pajama party minus the sleepover.  For decorations we had paper lanterns and balloon clusters.  For food we had breakfast foods for snacks including doughnuts, muffins, cinnamon rolls, little smokies, sausage balls, and  yogurt sticks.  For the activities we made fruit loop necklaces and decorated door hangers.  We had storytime and birthday cake too!  The kids had fun wearing their pajamas and Hannah and Owen were excited to show their personality in their pajamas (princess for Hannah and construction trucks for Owen) and cake decorations.

Who doesn't love breakfast food?!  The menu was a hit with the kids...sorry to the parents that we sugared them up so much!
I picked these 2 books for our read aloud since they matched the themes of the cakes and Hannah and Owen's pajamas.
Paper lanterns were fun and festive.
I was proud of the banner I made myself.

The birthday girl is ready to party.  It was really hard to wait for their birthday party day to come.  We had to make a calendar and cross of the days between their birthday on Nov. 11th and their party on Nov. 16th.

Time for food:
All the kids gathered around our kitchen table to share their snacks together.  It was crowded and lively but oh, so cute!

Onto crafts...everyone chose fruit loop necklaces first.  They probably ate more fruit loops than they strung on their necklace.

Avery has fun at the party making her fruit loop necklace.
Mr. Zach helps Hannah and makes her giggle and laugh.
 Owen's finished door hanger.
Big Hannah (from next door) and Little Hannah's finished door hangers.

After crafts we settled down to listen to Goodnight Goodnight Construction Site which allowed daddy to get the candles on the cakes and get them in place.

Time for Cake...Hannah and Owen were thrilled with their cakes from Williams Bakery.

Hannah always goes first since she was born first.  We always sing to each one individually rather than together.  This is something I've felt strongly about since their first birthday.

 A very happy birthday boy!

We finished up the party by opening presents.  Hannah and Owen were very excited about this and I felt like it was the most chaotic part of the party.  Hannah and Owen were each grabbing for presents while I was trying to keep the gift opening organized and take pictures.  They did do well opening all the cards first before opening the presents.  They were excited about everything they got.

Happy Birthday Hannah and Owen!
We love you!
