1st Trip to Bush Gardens

Since Hannah and Owen are totally into the Sesame Street characters we decided it was time to make a trip to Bush Gardens so they could meet their favorite furry friends in the Sesame Forest of Fun.  We had a beautitful day that was warm, but with no humidity.  We made the trip to Bush Gardens with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Vic, Uncle Troy, and Wesley so it was a true family affair.  We enjoyed seeing all the fall decorations out on display.  Hannah and Owen especially like the pumpkin garland that was suspended in the air.  We have always said that Hannah is our thrill seeker and we were right.  The one who is so cautious and shy around unknown people jumped on every ride she could and wanted to get on the rides she wasn't big enough for too.  She giggled and giggled at DaVinci's cradle spinning round and round and we told her Aunt Vic would be taking her on that one day because Mommy and Daddy are conservative ride enthusiasts.  Owen it turns out is his own thrill seeker (like his daddy).  He is wild and daring as long as he is in control which means he wanted no parts of the rides that Hannah jumped on.  The other issue he had with the rides was being buckled in as he doesn't like to be confined or restrained these days.  But he sure had fun walking around, seeing all the sights and the people too.  He did like the carousel and asked for more when the ride was over so he rode that twice in a row.  He also rode the dragon boats in Sesame Forest of Fun with his daddy.  We really wanted to get him on the train but ran out of time.  We have another trip planned in a few weeks so maybe he will get his train ride in next time.

We think Hannah could have stayed on the swings all day.  She rode twice in a row and was asking for more.  We told the boy operating the ride that we would leave him her lunch and $20 if she could stay on the swings all day.

Check out her wide open smile!  I was so thankful that she didn't pull the lever to take her plane up in the air because she definitely knew how to pull on it.

Daddy and Hannah go round and round on the dragon egg "ferris wheel".

Wesley won the contest for falling asleep the fastest after lunch.
Hannah and Owen fell asleep for their nap (as hoped and planned for).  The only thing we didn't realize is that they would sleep for 2 hours, but this let mommy and daddy have some fun too as grandma and grandpa took turns watching the stroller.
I had to include this picture because it looks like Chris has a dragon head.

Owen enjoyed seeing all of his favorite characters, but was a little taken aback by their size I think.  He was happy to see them from a distance.  Hannah, however, was enamored by her favorite furry friends.  We couldn't even get a picture of her looking at the camera because she just stared and pointed and said Elmo.  They also got to meet Big Bird and Bert.  For days after Hannah and Owen would go around saying Elmo, hug, Big Bird, hug and making hugging motions.
They are so cute!

Hannah takes in the show where all her favorite Sesame characters dance on stage.
Wesley and Hannah seem to chat about their fun day together.
Water play was a fun way to end the day-we love sprinklers!
