Apple Picking-Round 2

Hannah and Owen had so much fun picking apples in September that we decided to go back one more time as there was another orchard we wanted to try.  Nana and Grandad decided to join us for some fall fun.  We actually went to pick apples after the MES Miler so we had a full day of family fun together.  I think picking apples are one of Hannah and Owen's favorite things to do.  They just can't get enough of pulling the apples off the trees and putting them into the bags.  Here are our pictures from our second apple picking trip.  We had planned to try Henley's Apple Orchard in Crozet, but they weren't picking apples that day so we ended up at Chiles Peach Orchard and we loved it!

What a beautiful sight?! This was a field behind the apple orchard.

Owen gets started right away.  This time we picked Fuji apples.
Daddy lifts Hannah up, up, up to find the perfect apple.
Grandad helps Owen search for a big apple.

Hannah shows off her apple!
Grandad shows off the apples he picked too!
Grandad is good at finding big apples.  He would search and search and then would help Hannah or Owen pick it off the tree.
 Nana helps pick apples too!

Jump, Hannah, Jump!
Wouldn't you guess...Hannah gets a baby apple (or as Hannah says "appie") with Nana's help.

Daddy and Grandad are loaded down with bags of apples.  I think we picked 40 lbs total!

Hannah needed to hug all the pumpkins.
Owen first taste of an apple cider doughnut (his first taste of a doughnut ever actually).

Mmmm...Mmmm...dowuts are good!  Hannah calls doughnuts "dowuts".
