Hannah's 1st Haircut

The time finally arrived when I decided Hannah needed a haircut.  I was bound and determined to wait until she was 3 because my hairdresser suggested it due to the fact that hair growth patterns aren't established until then.  Fortunately, Hannah's hair grew out beautifully over the past 3 years.  Her hair actually grew evenly shaped all around as if it had been cut.  The other reason I couldn't bring to myself to cut her hair were the ringlets of curl clinging to the ends of her hair.  I've always loved them as her hair just naturally curled every so slightly at the bottom.  I was very afraid that they would disappear with her first hair cut.  I finally came to terms with loosing those ringlets as her hair seemed to be stringy and too long to let it hang loose.  So the day finally arrived where I let her get it cut.  It's funny because for a long time Hannah thought that only boys get their haircut as she watched Owen get his cut many times, but she herself was never asked to get in the seat.  She was actually excited about her haircut and did a super job for Ms. Mandy.  Now she looks like a real little girl and we just can't believe how fast the years are flying by.  Oh, and I think those ringlets might be hers for forever.

Hannah gets ready for her haircut.

There are her baby ringlets at the bottom.
Ms. Mandy makes the first cut.

 Ready for a blow dry.
Ms. Mandy checks to make sure both sides are even.

All done and proud of her new hairdo.
And it doesn't hurt that Ms. Mandy always has a lollipop for us when we're done!
Thanks, Ms. Mandy!
