The day after Christmas we got to continue our Christmas celebrations by going to Grandma and Papa's house. I love when we get to spread Christmas out this way because there is so much time spent preparing that I hate to see it fly by in just one day. It makes it really special to me when we can spread it out over several days and really enjoy the company of family rather than rushing through everything. The day after Christmas was also fairly warm without the feeling of Christmas in the air, but as I get older I don't mind pleasant winter temperatures. The kids were able to play outside a bit and kick around their new soccer ball and football. After some time spent outside we got right to the business of opening gifts which is always fun. It is definitely exciting and a little chaotic with 1 almost 3 year old (Wesley), 2 four year olds, and a 4 month old. There was paper flying everywhere and all kinds of compartments being opened in which to put batteries to make toys work. In fact the adults ended up not opening gifts until much later in the evening because there was such a flurry of activity at first. In addition to opening gifts we also enjoyed a yummy steak dinner, plenty of sides, and dessert as well. It was a fun day spent celebrating Christ's birth with family.

Owen tries to catch up with Daddy and tackle him.
Hannah loves her new soccer ball. What a kick!
Owen gets a new truck shirt from Grandma and Papa...
...and Wesley does too!
Thanks, Grandma!
Hannah gets a shirt from Aunt Vic and Uncle Troy that matches a shirt that Hailey has too! We can't wait to see them wear them together.
Owen loves his dump truck ornament for the Christmas tree.
Check out his face...obviously he loves this Mickey remote control car!
Hannah is equally overjoyed!
One more coveted Bruder truck-a snowplow! Wesley got one too! Thanks Grandma and Papa!
Christmas is so much fun! I love now seeing such Christmas joy through the eyes of my children. It takes Christmas to a whole new level for me.
