Merry Christmas Day!!

Hannah and Owen had been looking forward to Christmas day for so long!  We were curious what time they would wake up, but once again we were blessed with them waking up on time and not hours early due to the excitement of finding out what Santa brought.  Once they did wake up they were plenty excited.  It was probably the best Christmas yet as far as their excitement over their gifts and sheer joy when they realized they received what they had been hoping for.  They did a great job of taking turns opening presents and really delighted in each other's gifts as they realized how happy the gifts made the other one as they both knew each other's lists by memory.

 Hannah asked for pink drawing paper...Santa brought her a special pad of paper with lots of pink and many other colors.  Some of the paper even has sparkles in it.

 Our Christmas Brunch for Nana's birthday continued this year.  It is always a special time when Nana and Grandad can come and be part of the Christmas morning excitement and check out Hannah and Owen's gifts.  I always look forward to this tradition.

 Uncle Jake gets to open his gift from us because we brought the wrong one on Christmas Eve.  We were looking forward to Uncle Jake unwrapping this gift.  It was a Shrek VHS tape...ha ha!  We hid gift cards inside!  Jake got a good laugh out of it and so did we.

 Happy Birthday Nana!

 Owen and Grandad snuggle and rest while watching Hannah's new Berenstain Bear's DVD.  We were all feeling worn out by this point.

 Owen's newly expanded fire station.  We had to add an extra bay to accommodate his new fire truck.

 Later in the afternoon Grandma and Papa came by to see what Santa left and to eat dinner with us.

 Of course they got in some play time too!

 Owen loves all the doors, compartments, and tools on his new fire truck.  His fire station can now come to life!
