Easter morning dawned cloudy with imminent rain in the coming hours and chilly temperatures, but we weren't going to let the weather dampen this special day. Hannah and Owen decided to sleep in so we scrambled to get ready for church and check out our Easter baskets. They had to eat breakfast in the car on the way to church!

The Easter Bunny came...
The Easter Bunny brought books, coloring book, egg shaped sidewalk chalk, plates, Little People figures and Wheelies cars, and pajamas. Hannah got an SUV for her dollhouse and Owen got a school bus. They also got eggs filled with bunny grahams and bunny marshmallows plus jellybeans and 1 chocolate Kinder egg.
Everyday after Easter Hannah and Owen would wake up saying, "Go see what Easter bunny brought me!" Each morning they acted equally surprised and excited to see their Easter toys still sitting in the living room. It cracked me up!

They treat filled eggs were opened immediately and Mommy didn't stop them because after all it was Easter.
Going to church...
Owen sat down in his chair and said, "Nana take my picture!" Of course as all good Nana's do she had her camera and did indeed take Owen's picture.

It was pouring down rain so our family shot had to be inside this year.
Celebrating Easter with Family...
We had everyone over for Easter brunch. We celebrated with quiche, salad, fruit, croissants and muffins, and we had carrot cake and coffee too!
Mommy enjoys pulling out her china and dressing up the table for special occasions.
We enjoyed lots of time hanging out and playing together after lunch.
Daddy and Uncle hang out and watch the action as it unfolds.

Papa gets tickled trying to put clothes on baby Stella. Her boots were the hardest for Papa. But baby Stella needed her coat and hat because it was cold and rainy outside.

Hannah and Grandma.
It was special for Hannah and Owen to hang out with both grandparents, Mema, Uncle Troy, Aunt Vic, Wesley and Mommy and Daddy all at once. They didn't want anyone to leave and got upset when they did. Owen said, "Owo miss Grandma and Papa" after they left.

Grandma and Papa gave us clothes, playdoh, paint, and colored goldfish.
Nana and Grandad gave us new bath towels and bubbles.
Mema gave us special bunny rabbits, Thumper! He thumps his foot when you press it and Hannah and Owen think it's pretty great!
We love hanging out with Wesley!

After asking many times to draw with their chalk Mommy decides to bring in the easel so they can play with their Easter basket chalk!
An indoor Easter egg hunt...
The weather was too messy to head outside but we had fun anyways. Hannah and Owen had to wait in their room while the eggs were "hidden". They busted through the door and ran down the hall at full speed when they heard the word ready. They had lots of help finding the eggs and we had to do it 3 or 4 times before they were ready to stop.
