Welcome Spring...and Snow?!

We got another snow day 1 week before Easter.  We had a lot of fun and Mommy enjoyed the day off and the time spent playing in the snow, but we are all ready for consistently warmer days as most of March was cold, rainy, and/or snowy!

It's so fun to live down the street from our cousin Wesley and Aunt Vic.  We can have lots of sporadic play dates even in the snow!  We loaded up in the wagon and headed to Wesley's house early in the morning before the snow could melt.
We brought along our buckets and shovels and scooping and shoveling snow turned out to be great fun!  We made snow castles and a snow village too!

Hannah was excited to make a snowman.  This was the first snow that was good snow for a snowman!  Hannah kept adding snow ears to her snowman.  I guess she knew it needed to be a bunny since it was so close to Easter.

Aunt Vic rummaged in the refrigerator for carrots and grapes that Hannah used to make eyes, nose, and mouth on her snowman.

One snowman is not enough.  Aunt Vic helps Hannah make another one.
Owen stacked blocks of snow made with our buckets into Wesley's dump truck.
 Our snow village
Aunt Vic pulls all 3 on the sled at once...what fun?!

Whoops!  We easily get lopsided and slide off.
Hannah thinks it's fun when Owen pulls her on the sled.  He did pretty good other than almost running her into the ditch and into a tree.
Hannah and Owen want their own snowman in our front yard.  They cried the day that it finally melted.
Swinging in the snow is fun too and a good way to take a break from all that playing.  We had to stop and go inside because Mommy started to worry they would fall asleep!
Happy Snow Day!
