Disney on Ice

When I first saw the advertisement for Disney on Ice I wondered how Hannah and Owen would do and then the more I thought about it the more I wanted to go and take them.  We ended up getting our tickets for free using some of Chris' reward points.  The closer the date got the more excited I became about taking Hannah and Owen to see Disney on Ice.  I thought they might have a little trouble sitting still, but I thought they would love it!  They really enjoyed the shows at Disney World and they love the Sesame Street show at Bush Garden's so I felt certain they would enjoy this too.  We told them about a week before that we were going to see  Mickey and Minnie show and they were so excited.  Each day we talked about how many days we had left until we could go to the show.  They love love love Mickey and Minnie!  This was such a fun experience for us and for them.  It was so awesome to see how enamored they were by all the sights and sounds.  As we walked out of the parking garage to sound of Richmond's finest drumming on buckets (Chris called it a city band) Hannah said that music is awesome!  They were taken aback by all the tables and Disney on Ice memorabilia being sold around the coliseum and everything caught their eye.  They were really impressed with the men carrying the big tall poles of popcorn and cotton candy too (both of which we had to sample at the show).  They couldn't wait for the show to start!

Dressed and ready to go!  Mickey and Minnie came with us in the car.
Mommy was super excited we got to wear our Disney Mickey and Minnie shirts again!
Super excited for the show to start.  We had great seats because there was a concrete wall and railing in front of us which meant they could stand and move around the whole time without being in anyone's way.

Everytime a man went buy selling things like this Owen would say, "I want one of those!".
We did buy cotton candy...Hannah liked it, but Owen did not.
Our favorite friends have a birthday party for Minnie.
Daddy and Owen walk down to the ice to check out the Zamboni  during intermission.
Our little man all settled in to watch the rest of the show.
Cotton candy wasn't our favorite so we moved onto popcorn.  This was Hannah and Owen's first popcorn  experience and they couldn't get enough of it.
 Say, "Popcorn!"
A smile like the one above is created by shoving two fistfulls of popcorn into your mouth!

Both Hannah and Owen were mesmerized by the show and all the singing and dancing.  They stayed focused and watched for the whole time (1 1/2 hours).  Hannah loved the twirling and spinning princesses best and Owen liked when Goofy (dressed as Santa) got stuck in the chimney and had to be pulled out.
Hannah was all smiles until we told her it was time to leave...that's when she stuck out her bottom lip and got tears in her eyes and said, "I don't want it to be over!"
