Fall Festival Time

We were so excited to go the Fall Festival at Grandma and Papa's church again this year.  We knew what to expect this year and couldn't wait to walk around in our costumes, play games, go on a hayride, and have our picture taken.  Mommy really wanted Hannah and Owen to be Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head this year, but Owen had another idea in mind.  As we were reading our Little People Halloween book at the beginning of fall and talking about the upcoming holiday and our costumes Owen said, "No, I'm not going to be Mr Potato head...I'm going to be that!" and pointed to a child dressed as a fire fighter.  After many attempts to redirect his thoughts (Grandma can't make fire clothes and she already has all the stuff for Mr. Potato Head) I gave up and decided he wouldn't wear a costume that he didn't like so there was no point in having Grandma go through the trouble of making Mr. and Mrs. Potato Head.  So we decided on a Firefighter and Dalmatian which I think turned out really cute!  It also suits them perfectly since they still have their fire truck and fire station obsession!  Here our our first costume pictures of the Halloween season:

We're excited and ready to go!

Our friend Avery comes to have a good time too and participates in the costume contest.
Hannah and Owen played every game they could.  Even if they didn't play the right way they gave each one a valiant try.  They loved picking out their candy prizes and putting them in their bag.

 Cotton Candy:
Our sweet girl LOVES sweets!  This stick of cotton candy is almost as big as she is, but she couldn't wait for that first bite!

So this is why they're friends!

Owen waits for the hay ride and can hardly contain his excitement.

The hayride was their favorite I think.  I believe they could have stayed on it for the rest of the night!

 This is so much fun!
When we got off the nice man driving the tractor saw Owen wistfully looking at the tractor so he let him come up on the seat and raise and lower the bucket on the front.  This made Owen's night!
We ended with a picture to capture our costumes this year!
