Our Favorite Places of the Summer

Our two favorite places of the summer were Lewis Ginter and Bush Gardens.  We had so much fun at both places and we learned that Hannah and Owen love to be busy and have things to do.  We spent a lot of time at both of these places this summer and were sad to see the summer come to an end (Mommy especially).  Here are our final pictures of the summer.

Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens:

Owen loved using the magnifying glass to observe the butterflies.

Here he watches them as they suck the nectar out of this fruit with their long tongues.

Water Play is one of our favorite things at Lewis Ginter:

 Nana loves Lewis Ginter too!
Hannah and Owen found the music area and now they look for it every time we go.
Looking out of the tree house windows down into the pond below in hopes of seeing a turtle swimming by.

Bush Gardens:

Daddy and Owen have fun flying the dragons.  Owen always picks green which he has claimed as his favorite color and Hannah always picks purple which she has claimed as her favorite color.
Hannah and Owen are so excited that Wesley can ride things with them now.  They share a ride in the ladybug cars which is one of their favorite things to get on at Bush Gardens.

Hannah's turn to be the chauffeur.
Hop on in Wesley, where do you want to go?

The 3 Amigos on the swings together.
Hannah and Mommy in Hannah's purple dragon.
 Wesley loves the dragons too!
Seeing which of our Sesame friends are "home" is also another one of our favorite activities at Bush Gardens.  Bert and Ernie get big hugs today!

I didn't get a picture of it, but Ernie took Owen's hat and put it on his head and Owen didn't know what to think about that!
Hannah loves Big Bird, but Owen shies away from him because he is so BIG.
 High fives for Elmo...
and a Hannah hug too!
Hannah is so excited to see the Sesame Street Show with all of her favorite characters singing and dancing.

Good friends hang out together...Hannah and Avery take in the show together.
