Apple Picking Time

Back in October  we took our annual trip to Chiles Peach Orchard to pick apples.  It has become a family tradition now and of course Nana and Grandad always enjoy being part of the fun.  We had a gorgeous day for apple picking.  It was one of the first cool days we had in October and the sky was crystal clear.  This year we started off with doughnuts to fuel up for apple picking.  Hannah and Owen LOVE to pick apples.  They would have picked bag after bag, but unfortunately we can't eat that many.  We did end up picking a total of 4 bags though...enough to share with Grandma and Papa and Grandma Hanna and EE.  I'll warn you that I took a ton of pictures but I guess that just shows how much fun we had.  We even used our apples this year to make apple crisp together.  Hannah and Owen shared some with their preschool teachers and they also enjoyed learning how to eat a whole apple without it being cut up!  Oh, and this was the weekend that Hannah had Felix so he's in a lot of the pictures too.

Nana uses her mirror to show Hannah her cinnamon sugar lips!
MMMM! Apple cider doughnuts are the best!

We're fueled up and off in search of apples!

After we picked apples we played around for awhile in the open field behind the orchard.  We tossed apples, tried to juggle, and just enjoyed running free!

Hannah and Owen are amused by Grandad's antics with apples!

Hannah decides to try her hand at juggling apples which consists of throwing them into the air and watching them fall to the ground.

We even found a tree to climb.
