Both Hannah and Owen also love bath time. When I say are you ready to take a bath they crawl from wherever they are to the bathroom door and wait until I come and open it. While the tub is filling with water they both try as hard as they can to lift up one leg and climb in over the ledge. I fear that one day they will go head first right over the edge. I have been putting Johnson's and Johnson's lavendar bath in their water for a long time because they almost always take their bath before bed. Hannah has taken a recent interest in the bubbles that it creates. She picks them up in her hand and stares at them. She splashes around in the tub and then moves to the end where the most bubbles are to found. Recently she has decided it is fun to try and put them in her mouth so she constantly wears a bubble beard in the tub. She even leans down to the water's surface to get a face full of bubbles. It makes me laugh each night!

Books and Bubbles
Both Hannah and Owen love to be read to and they will sit and listen to several board books at a time. Right now their favorite books are Night Night Prayer, I Love You Through and Through, Tummies, How Do I Love You?, and A Thank You Prayer. Owen also really likes his Sesame Street Firehouse book. They both pull these books out of their basket in their room many times a day and shake the book of their choice up and down until you take it from their hands and begin to read it. However, Owen's in depth interest in his books delights me. He often pulls books off his shelf as if he is searching for just the right one and then he sits with the book in his lap or on the floor and turns each page stopping to look at the pictures. Most of the time he has the book in the right position (not upside down) and he turn the pages the right way too. As a teacher it is amazing to see and brings a smile to face each day. I have taken special care to read to Hannah and Owen each day since they were just weeks old because reading is something I love to do and it is really special to see how much they enjoy books at their early age and how much they have already learned about books. Owen even acts out parts of his favorite books for example he pats his head when I read I love your top side and he wiggles around when we get to the wiggling tummies page in the Tummies book. At the end of the night as we are getting them ready for bed I'll ask Owen if he's ready for his night night book and he will go back to his room and pick Night Night Prayer out of the basket and hold it up for me. It is so awesome! Here are some pictures of Owen enjoying his books.
