Hannah and Owen started their Thanksgiving out with the Macy's parade on TV. We also made turkey handprints.
Hannah and Owen spent this Thanksgiving at their great grandma's house. They visited and played with Nana, Granddad, Uncle Jake, G-Grandma Hanna, EE, and my aunt Renee and cousins Ashleigh and Kelsey. We enjoyed spending several hours together eating, catching up, and playing. Chris and I joked that it was the best meal we'd had since last Thanksgiving as life is so busy and hectic that I hardly cook dinner for us anymore. Hannah and Owen spent much of their time at great grandma Hannah's napping, but everyone catches a nap on Thanksgiving. They ate their dinner at great grandma Hannah's. Owen enjoyed her mashed potatoes and gravy. He also had carrots and apple pick ups. Hannah ate dinner in her usual fashion-the way she wanted it. She decided she didn't want mashed potatoes or carrots and I eventually got her to eat a jar of lasagna and some apple pick ups-what a Thanksgiving dinner to remember?!
On Friday we went to grandma and grandpa's house for Thanksgiving dinner round 2. Hannah and Owen hung out and played with their Uncle Troy and Aunt Vic as well as Mema (their great grandma) and Aunt Francis and Uncle Norman (Chris' great aunt and uncle). This time Hannah and Owen ate dinner along with the rest of the family. They loved their grandma's mashed potatoes and yes, Hannah decided to like mashed potatoes the second night. Owen used a spoon to feed to himself, but Hannah enjoyed using her fingers to eat mashed potatoes. I was too busy eating my Thanksgiving dinner and watching over Hannah and Owen and didn't get any pictures. I wish I had because Hannah had mashed potatoes everywhere. They were literally up to her elbows and all over her face, but she enjoyed every bite and that is all that counts! Owen also tried macaroni and cheese and broccoli casserole. Later in the weekend he also ate leftover ham and turkey.
Hannah and Owen looked so cute in their turkey day outfits and I desperately tried to get some good pictures, but it is nearly impossible to capture them both at their best these days. These will have to due and hopefully they will make you laugh as you envision Owen wiggling away out of every picture!
