Santa Party

Hannah and Owen loved seeing Santa on the fire truck so much that we decided to head down to Grandma and Papa's house to see him a second time.  We were told it would be worth the wait since he doesn't come around until 8:30pm or so.  We invited our friends the Parr's to hang out and see Santa with us since their new neighborhood isn't big enough for him to come through.  We had so much fun playing and hanging out while waiting to hear the sirens announcing Santa's arrival in the neighborhood.  Trying to keep 3 children age 2 and under entertained for over an hour (past their bedtime) was interesting, but they had no problem keeping us entertained.  Thankfully Grandma and Papa had some fun Christmas toys and Christmas movies on tv too.  We had so much fun that we're thinking it needs to become an annual event (I'm already thinking snacks, crafts, and hot chocolate are definitely needed at our next Santa party).

This picture is so sweet...I can't wait to show it to them many years from now.
Dancing Santa, Snowman, and Reindeer too keep us entertained
Owen loves this spinning top and is really good at pushing down the handle to make it spin by itself.
Is that Santa or Owen behind the tree?  Grandma's fun hats help us pass the time.
Avery and Hannah hang out in the rocking chair that rocked daddy when he was a baby.
Nah plays this little piggie and keeps the girls laughing.
Great Friends love hanging out together...

Owen gaurds a present he snatched from under the tree.  He really threw himself down on top of it when Grandma tried to take it away.
 Ho, Ho, Ho, Hannah Girl!

Hannah can't decide whether she wants to be Santa or one of his elves.

We finally hear the sirens and head outside to see Santa complete with Christmas hats and jingle bells.
 Eager, Ready, and Waiting
Station 3 did an awesome job and completely exceeded our expectations and made the wait past bedtime totally worth it.  The fire truck was decked out with lights and Santa was riding in a sleigh on top.  They even played Christmas music from the speakers.  Santa threw peppermint candies to us too.  What great fun?!

We share peppermint candy with Avery.
Grandma and Papa had so much fun with us tonight (but I think we wore them out.)
After a fun night we wind down with pj's, milk, and snuggles with Grandma.
